Get the Answers You Need to Make the Right Decision for Your Pet Business

Getting Started

How do I know if I’m ready to hire a virtual assistant for my pet sitting business?
Here’s the truth: if you’re asking this question, you’re probably already past ready! But let’s get specific. You’re ready for VA support if you find yourself working 50+ hours a week and still can’t keep up, missing family events or personal time because “the business needs you,” turning down new clients because you can’t handle more administrative work, knowing exactly what you need to do to grow but having zero time to implement it, or feeling like you’re stuck on a hamster wheel with no end in sight. If any of those hit home, a virtual assistant isn’t a luxury – it’s the key to unlocking your next level of growth. Our clients typically see 10-20 hours per week freed up within the first month.
What makes your VA agency different from hiring a general virtual assistant?

This is a game changer, so pay attention! General VAs are great, but they don’t understand the unique challenges of running a pet sitting business. They don’t know what Time To Pet is, they’ve never dealt with a frantic pet parent calling about a last-minute boarding request, and they certainly don’t understand seasonal booking patterns. Our team is different because every single VA is trained specifically in Pet Nanny Coach methodologies – the same strategies that have helped hundreds of pet sitters scale past $10K+ months. Our founder, Colleen Sedgwick, built a 2,000+ client pet care empire, and our agency lead, Laura Breakstone, scaled her own pet sitting business to over $25K per month. When you work with us, you’re not explaining your business from scratch. We already speak your language.

What’s the first step to working with you?

Easy! Book a complimentary 30-minute Discovery Call. During this call, we’ll identify your biggest operational bottlenecks, map out exactly what tasks you should delegate first, show you how other pet business owners are scaling with our support, and determine if we’re the right fit for your growth goals. No pressure, no hard sell. Just a real conversation about your business and whether we can help. Plus, everyone who books gets instant access to our “From Solopreneur to CEO” delegation guide (a $97 value) just for showing up!

Services & Support

What tasks can your virtual assistants handle for my pet sitting business?
Think of us as your behind-the-scenes business partner! Our VAs can handle client communication and relationship management (emails, inquiries, follow-ups, review requests), scheduling and calendar management, invoice creation and payment follow-up, social media management and content creation, team recruitment, screening, and onboarding, Time To Pet software management and optimization, graphic design for marketing materials, newsletter creation and email campaigns, document formatting and data entry, and website updates and maintenance. We also offer specialized automation packages that run your business on autopilot – things like sitter onboarding sequences, new customer welcome campaigns, holiday reservation reminders, and Google review request systems.
Do you work with pet businesses other than pet sitters?

Our sweet spot is definitely pet sitters and dog walkers, but we also work with pet care businesses that have similar operational needs – like mobile groomers, doggy daycares, and pet boarding facilities. If you’re in the pet industry and drowning in administrative work, there’s a good chance we can help! During your Discovery Call, we’ll discuss your specific business model and determine if our services are the right fit.

What automation packages do you offer?
We have 9 proven automation campaigns that help pet sitting businesses run on autopilot. These are the Sitter Recruitment Campaign (attracts quality candidates automatically), Sitter Onboarding System (handles everything from welcome packets to background checks), Lead Magnet & Coupon Campaign (turns website visitors into paying customers), New Customer Welcome & Wow Sequence (creates amazing first impressions), Upcoming Reservation Reminder System (keeps clients informed and requests feedback), Holiday Reservation Reminders (fills your calendar months in advance), Meet Your Sitter Introduction Campaign (builds trust before the first visit), Google Review Request Campaign (generates 5-star reviews on autopilot), and Manager Hiring Campaign (streamlines your management hiring process). Each automation is set up once and runs forever, saving you countless hours every single week. Your future self will thank you!
Can you help me with Time To Pet software?
Absolutely! This is one of our specialties! We offer complete Time To Pet management including client profile setup and organization, pet details and medical information documentation, sitter scheduling optimization, route planning for efficient service delivery, staff training on software best practices, custom workflow development, data migration from other systems, ongoing monitoring and maintenance, and troubleshooting and support. Whether you’re brand new to Time To Pet or you’ve been using it for years but know you’re not maximizing its potential, we can help you turn it into the business growth engine it was designed to be.

Working Together

How does communication work once I’m a client?
All communication happens through your dedicated Slack channel. This is your direct line to your Project Manager and VA team. We chose Slack because it’s fast and efficient (no more lost emails!), everything stays organized in one place, you can share files, screenshots, and Loom videos easily, and your whole team stays in the loop. Your Project Manager is your single point of contact for everything. They coordinate all VA work, ensure quality control, and keep your projects moving forward. You’ll never have to chase down multiple people or wonder what’s happening with your tasks. We respond to messages within 24 hours during business hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm EST), and urgent items are handled even faster.
How do you track hours and tasks?
Transparency is huge for us, You deserve to know exactly what’s happening with your investment! We use Teamwork project management software to track every hour and task. Here’s what you get every week: detailed time tracking by task and project, progress updates on all active projects, clear documentation of completed work, and heads up on any roadblocks or delays. And every month you receive a comprehensive report of total hours used, summary of all completed tasks, strategic recommendations for the following month, and celebration of wins and progress made! You’ll never wonder where your hours went or what your VA team accomplished.
What if I’m not happy with the work?
We’re committed to your success, period. If something isn’t meeting your expectations, here’s how we handle it. First, communicate early and often. If something’s off, tell us right away through your Slack channel. Small issues are easy to fix; big issues that fester are not. Second, we’ll make it right – your Project Manager will work with you to understand exactly what needs to change and ensure the VA team delivers what you need. Third, ongoing feedback loop – we actively encourage feedback (the good AND the challenging) because that’s how we get even better at serving you. Our goal is a long-term partnership where your business thrives. We’re not interested in one-and-done relationships – we want to be part of your growth story for years to come.
Do unused hours roll over to the next month?
Here’s the deal: hours don’t roll over month to month. We know that might sound tough, but here’s why it actually helps you. It encourages you to actually use your support (that’s why you hired us!). It keeps projects moving forward consistently. It prevents the “I’ll get to it later” trap that kills momentum. That said, we’re here to help you maximize every single hour. Your Project Manager will proactively suggest tasks and projects to ensure you’re getting full value from your investment. Many clients are surprised by how much we can accomplish once they start thinking strategically about delegation!

Pricing & Packages

How much do your virtual assistant services cost?

We offer flexible monthly packages based on the hours of support you need. Our packages are 10 hours per month at $475, 15 hours per month at $650, 20 hours per month at $825, 25 hours per month at $975, and 30 hours per month at $1,100. These packages include access to your dedicated Project Manager, trained virtual assistants who understand the pet industry, time tracking and reporting through Teamwork, communication through your private Slack channel, and monthly strategy sessions to review progress and plan ahead. Not sure which package is right for you? That’s exactly what we figure out together during your Discovery Call!

Is there a setup fee or long-term contract?
We keep things simple and fair. There’s a one-time onboarding fee that covers your initial setup, systems access, VA training on your specific business, and first-month strategy planning. This ensures we hit the ground running and deliver results from day one. As for contracts, we operate on a month-to-month basis after your initial commitment period. We believe in earning your business every single month through results, not locking you into something that doesn’t serve you.
What’s included in the onboarding process?

Your onboarding is designed to set you up for success from the very first week! Here’s what happens. First, we conduct your Discovery Call where we identify your biggest needs and create your custom support plan. Then, you complete the Welcome & Setup phase where you’ll sign your service agreement, get access to your private Slack channel, and receive your Welcome Guide. Next comes Onboarding Call where Laura meets with you to dive deep into your business, gather all necessary access and assets, and set up your first projects in Teamwork. Finally, you move into VA Assignment & Training where we match you with the perfect VA for your needs and train them on your specific business, brand voice, and preferences. Most clients start seeing relief within the first 1-2 weeks as their VA takes over client communication, scheduling, and those daily fires that keep interrupting growth plans.

Results & Expectations

How quickly will I see results?
Here’s what our clients typically experience. In weeks 1-2, you’ll get immediate relief as your VA takes over client communication, scheduling, and daily administrative tasks. In weeks 3-4, we implement automation and processes that turn your “solopreneur hustle” into a “real business operation.” In months 2-3, you shift into strategic focus where with operational tasks handled, you finally have time for growth activities like marketing, expansion, and team building. By month 3 and beyond, you experience scale without stress – watching your business grow while maintaining (or improving) the quality that made you successful. The exact timeline depends on your starting point and how quickly you can provide access and direction, but most clients feel significant relief within the first two weeks.
What results have other pet sitting business owners achieved?
We love sharing wins! Here are some real results from our clients. Rachel scaled from $4K to $12K monthly in 8 months and took her first real vacation in 18 months (phone on airplane mode for 10 days!). Michael expanded from 1 to 3 territories in just 6 months – something he thought would take 2 years. Lisa increased client retention from 78% to 95% because clients now get faster response times and better service. Jennifer went from 75-hour work weeks to having her weekends back while her business continued growing. These aren’t outliers. They’re what happens when overwhelmed pet business owners finally get the right support.
What do I need to provide to get started?
To hit the ground running, we’ll need access credentials for your business tools (Time To Pet, email, social media, etc.), brand assets like your logo, colors, and any style guidelines you have, examples of your communication style (so we match your voice), context about your business including services, pricing, service area, and team, and your top priorities so we know what to tackle first. Don’t worry, we walk you through everything during onboarding. And if you don’t have formal brand guidelines or documented processes, that’s totally fine! Many of our clients don’t when they start. We’ll help you create systems as we go.

Technical & Security

How do you handle passwords and sensitive business information?
Security is non-negotiable for us. We use secure password management systems to store your credentials, never share access information outside your dedicated team, and follow strict confidentiality protocols. We recommend using a shared password manager like LastPass or 1Password, which allows you to grant access without actually revealing passwords – and you can revoke access instantly if needed.
What tools and software do you use?

Our core toolkit includes Slack for all client communication, Teamwork for project and time tracking, Google Drive for document storage and collaboration, and various design tools for graphics and content creation. We’re also proficient in pet industry-specific tools like Time To Pet, and we can learn your tech stack quickly. If you use specific software for your business, let us know during your Discovery Call and we’ll confirm our team can support it.

What happens if my VA is sick or on vacation?
Life happens! Here’s how we ensure your business never misses a beat. Your Project Manager always has full visibility into your account and can step in immediately. We maintain backup VA coverage for all client accounts. For planned absences, we coordinate coverage in advance and notify you. Urgent tasks are always handled, even during unexpected situations. You’re never left hanging. That’s the advantage of working with an agency versus a solo VA.
